Open Night Postponed
In light of the recent rise in Covid numbers in the Waterford area, and the deteriorating numbers nationally, we have decided to postpone the open night scheduled for this Thursday. We feel at this late stage that it would have been an unnecessary risk to host a gathering of its size in light of the renewed advice from the relevant authorities. We are naturally disappointed for all those 6th class students and parents who had been looking forward to seeing our wonderful school.
We have notified our Primary schools and asked that they inform their students and parents that we have taken this decision and to refer them to our website to view the excellent video presentation that has been produced for the occasion. This video will be released on our website on Thursday evening and we invite you to view this video also. We would hope to have our incoming first years visit the school for a tour in the new year, subject to public health advice at the time.
While many prospective students will be disappointed I trust that you will understand that the decision was taken with the best interest of our school community at heart.
