Ardscoil na Mara had twenty nine students and four staff members attend the Holy Cross National School Sportshall for Mark Whites ‘very well organised’ 24 hour Bootcamp in aid of the WLR fm christmas appeal. Thank you to all who attended, especially Ms. Denton, who made the link officially, Ms. Walsh, Queen of the 4 minute plank and Ms. Denmead who took time out to attend. Everyone who attended the hour from 4 to 5 o'clock was put through their paces with many variations of body weight exercises. A massive congratulations to all the girls who gave their time for this very worthy cause, they most definitely outshone their male counterparts on the night, as they attended different hours throughout the evening on behalf of other sports clubs. Overall, the 24 hr bootcamp raised €7675 which puts in perspective the effort put in from so many clubs and schools in the local community that came together to acknowledge all local families that may be finding life difficult this Christmas. It makes the seized up bodies totally worth it, aside from that, a lot of fun was had too. Until the next one. Mr. Upton.
