Dear Parents / Guardians,
As we enjoy the midterm break having completed eight weeks of school since returning in August, I wish to extend a sincere thank you to all our staff, students, parents/guardians for the commitment that has been shown by all to allow us to reach this point.
There is no doubt it has been a challenging few weeks and the enormous effort by the entire school community has ensured Ardscoil na Mara has remained a covid free and safe teaching and learning environment.
Unfortunately, the challenging times continue as we enter Level 5 restrictions and we encourage students to take a well-earned break from homework and study during the coming week. We appreciate how much school has changed for all our students with all the new guidelines they must follow, both inside and outside the classroom and we want to take this opportunity to say well done, we commend their commitment and maturity on how they have embraced these changes. We encourage them to continue to adhere to the guidelines on social distancing and wearing their mask during the break.
Upon returning to school on Mon Nov 2nd, we will need to reset protocols for our daily routines and continue with all successful measures implemented this term to ensure that our school remains a safe and covid free environment.
We recently held our 1st year parent’s information evening through a zoom meeting and we will continue with our parent information evenings for all other year groups during the first week after the midterm break, through ZOOM also.
The time for each meeting is as follows:
2nd Year -Tues Nov 3rd, 7-7.30pm
3rd Year - Tues Nov 3rd, 7.45 - 8:15pm
4th /5th Year - Wed Nov 4th, 7 - 7.30pm
6th Year - Wed Nov 4th, 7.45 - 8:15pm
