The ski trip of 2019 was an amazing experience for all involved. We were all able to progress at our own speed during the trip, and were sorted into groups of our own level so we could get the most out of the lessons. I had gone skiing before so I was put into a group of more advanced skiers. This way I wouldn’t be waiting for others to get the hang of everything, I just started straight away.
We started with blue slopes, progressed to red and even a black or two! The hotel we stayed in was very spacious and I really enjoyed staying in a room with a few friends. We had many evening activities – we had a quiz night on the first evening after a long day of skiing, we went bowling, shopping in the town, ice skating, had a movie night, and had time to ourselves up in the rooms after these. The teachers who went were extremely helpful to anyone who injured themselves or felt sick (there weren’t many injuries, luckily!), and the ski instructors were very nice and tried to give as much advice as they could. I feel I really improved my level of skiing during the week. I really enjoyed taking part in this trip, and I hope they keep on doing a ski trip every year as I think it is a great bonding activity to take part in and a brilliant experience that I will always remember.
I thoroughly enjoyed the ski trip this year. It was my first time skiing and I feel it was a great opportunity for those like me, who wouldn’t get a chance to go otherwise. The ski resort we went to was amazing, there were many different types of slopes and all the instructors were kind and helpful. They gave us a great introduction to the sport, and were patient with us. The ski resort catered to all the different abilities in skiing, and everyone advanced greatly throughout the week. All the extra excursions we went to in the evenings were great fun and we all got a laugh out of them. Some of these included ice skating, bowling and a quiz night. I would highly recommend the trip to anyone thinking about going.
