Happy Easter

Dear Parents, Students and Staff,

As we approach the Easter break I would like to take a moment and thank you, on behalf of the Board of Management and the Senior Management Team for your commitment, support and cooperation during this unprecedented period in our country's history.

I am very conscious that many members of the school community are experiencing difficulties due to illness, job losses or social isolation at this time. We are thinking especially about our 3rd and 6th year students who may, understandably be feeling anxious with the uncertainty around their exams. The most recent information that we have is that both Junior and Leaving Certificate Examinations will take place.

I would like to thank all our staff in Ardscoil na Mara for their commitment to our students, going beyond what was asked of them as we embarked, with short notice, on our remote teaching initiative. Despite the challenges of family circumstances, broadband and IT equipment etc, teaching and learning continues now in many new and different formats. A special thank you to our students who continue to engage so well with this initiative.

I would like to thank our parents and guardians for their continued support and understanding with the recent changes to how our school continues to operate.

I feel it is important now, that students and teachers take a well-earned break from online classes and school work. However, I do understand that some work must continue for our students in exam years.

Finally, I wish and your families a happy, healthy and safe Easter break.
